THE REFURBISHMENT SCHEME

The existing east building is a former printworks building and offers impressive floor plates and ceiling heights. The structure and scale of the building lends itself to innovative refurbishment opportunities which is especially rare. Cove Burgess architects have prepared a scheme which considers a comprehensive refurbishment where a new central atrium is created in the centre of the building, creating a sense of arrival and permeability through the site. This concept will enable the building to be let to single or multiple occupiers and will also help to enhance the public realm and amenity space at ground floor level.
